Brush Up on Our Dentist's Expertise
Dr. Anna Grinberg Ahani General Dentist
Dr. Anna Grinberg Ahani brings warmth, expertise, and a genuine passion for patient care to her dental practice. A graduate of the prestigious University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Ahani enhanced her expertise through a General Practice Residency and Implant Fellowship, demonstrating her commitment to providing comprehensive dental care at the highest level.

Her journey into dentistry began with her own childhood experiences, where a compassionate family dentist showed her how positive dental care could be. This early influence shaped her philosophy of patient care, which emphasizes creating comfortable, welcoming experiences for patients of all ages.

Dr. Ahani's approach to dentistry is rooted in empathy and understanding, treating each patient as she would her own family. She takes pride in explaining procedures clearly and ensuring patients feel informed and in control of their dental health decisions. Whether working with adults or children, she strives to create an environment where anxiety transforms into trust and confidence.

Beyond her clinical expertise, Dr. Ahani is known for her gentle chairside manner and ability to make dental visits enjoyable, especially for younger patients. She finds particular joy in helping children develop positive associations with dental care, often turning procedures into engaging experiences that leave them smiling.

When she's not creating beautiful smiles at the office, Dr. Ahani enjoys an active lifestyle with her family, including playing tennis, hiking (with Annie's Canyon Trail being a particular favorite), and swimming. She's also passionate about cooking, baking, and exploring new cuisines through travel. In a surprising twist, she recently conquered her fear of dogs after her family welcomed a Giant Schnauzer into their home – a testament to her belief in facing challenges with an open mind.

Dr. Ahani's commitment to excellence in dentistry, combined with her warm personality and patient-centered approach, makes her a trusted partner in her patients' oral health journeys. She looks forward to welcoming you and your family to her practice, where creating beautiful, healthy smiles is not just a profession, but a passion.

FAQ

Questions
How often should I visit the dentist?

It is recommended to visit the dentist for a regular check-up and cleaning every six months. However, your dentist may suggest more frequent visits based on your individual oral health needs.

What should I do if I have a toothache?

If you experience a toothache, rinse your mouth with warm water and use dental floss to remove any food particles stuck between your teeth. If the pain persists, contact your dentist for an appointment as soon as possible. You can also take over-the-counter pain medication to help alleviate discomfort until you can see your dentist.

How can I prevent cavities?

To prevent cavities, brush your teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, floss daily, and limit sugary and acidic foods and beverages. Regular dental check-ups and cleanings are also essential for maintaining good oral health.

What are the signs of gum disease?

Signs of gum disease include red, swollen, or tender gums, bleeding while brushing or flossing, persistent bad breath, receding gums, and loose or shifting teeth. If you notice any of these symptoms, schedule an appointment with your dentist.

What payment options do you accept?

We accept most major dental insurance plans, as well as cash, credit cards, and financing options through third-party providers. Please contact our office for more information on specific payment options and to verify your insurance coverage.

What should I do in a dental emergency?

In case of a dental emergency, such as a knocked-out tooth, severe toothache, or broken dental appliance, contact our office immediately. We reserve time in our daily schedule for emergency appointments and will provide you with instructions on how to handle your situation until you can see the dentist.

Are dental X-rays safe?

Yes, modern dental X-rays are safe. The amount of radiation exposure from a dental X-ray is minimal, and dentists take precautions to minimize exposure by using lead aprons and collars. X-rays are an essential diagnostic tool for detecting dental issues that may not be visible during a regular exam.
